Are Folding Picnic Tables Really Any Good?
Has modern engineering finally produced any folding picnic tables worth owning? The answer is yes but they do have their limits.
Folding picnic tables have been around for a long time. While the idea is great, unfortunately the plastics and aluminum alloyes of the time were not good enough to make a sturdy yet lightweight folding picnic table. Instead, they were either bulky and very heavy or small and flimsy.
Things have changed for the modern folding picnic table though. Now, they are made from high quality plastics and aluminum, making them light weight and tough.
Many modern tables also come with an umbrella hole. An umbrella really makes a folding picnic table much more versitale since it offers shade on a hot day at any picnic or barbecue (BBQ).
Folding picnic tables are versitale, tough and light weight but they do have their limitations as well. Due to their compact size, the table's surface isn't very big and you need a relatively flat area to set it up.
Folding picnic tables have probably always been best suited for a small family picnic but today's modern folding picnic tables are light enough and sturdy enough to make them a great choice for most picnics.
